ExamNow® – Real-Time Audience Engagement

Overview

ExamNow is a real-time audience engagement tool that enables delivery of non-secure, formative assessments via the web. This allows faculty to evaluate student responses in real-time in order to increase classroom engagement and measure student learning.

Integrated with the ExamSoft Core Platform, ExamNow supports question categorization and reporting, allowing Users to measure student performance by Category across both Formative and Summative assessments.

Detailed Specifications

ExamNow Access
Access to ExamNow is controlled through the User management capabilities of the ExamSoft Portal.

Assessment Creation
Faculty have the ability to draft and post Audience Response assessments

• Clients will use their existing ExamSoft Portal; both Legacy and Enterprise Portals are supported
• Clients may utilize the question creation and question banking workflows within their ExamSoft Portal, including question categorization
• The following question types are supported for ExamNow
  • Multiple Choice
  • Fill-in-the-Blank
  • True/False
  • Note: questions with attachments are not supported

Faculty Dashboard

Faculty may access the ExamNow dashboard for viewing and delivering assessments

• Single Sign On (SSO) with credentials used to access ExamSoft Portal, using either native ExamSoft credentials or configured SAML integration
• View a list of posted ExamNow assessments
• Deliver instructor-led ExamNow assessment

Student Exam Experience

Students may access the ExamNow site in order to complete assessments

• Single Sign On (SSO) with credentials used to access ExamSoft Portal or Examplify, using either native ExamSoft credentials or configured SAML integration
• View individual questions and answer choices only when selected by the instructor
• Select and submit answer choices

Scoring & Reporting

ExamNow assessment results leverage the Scoring and Reporting capabilities of the ExamSoft Portal.

• Faculty may review Exam Taker performance, including question- and category-level result data
• Faculty may make manual scoring adjustments to individual questions
• Faculty may release results to students for review by question and/or by category
• Students may access result data when provided access by Faculty

Product Access is contingent on the following prerequisites:

• ExamSoft Core Platform – required for use of ExamNow
• Device compliance with published MSRs
